A group of dedicated, passionate teachers -- and a slightly tone-deaf principal -- find themselves thrown together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life. Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do -- even if they don't love the school district's less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

But this time I loved it from the first episode and it's not a show you can use as background noise. Still, I'm not unhappy! It's an amazingly good show! The jokes rarely land, the mockumentary style feels completely unoriginal, and every episode plays out exactly as you’d expect. On top of that, it’s so determined to tick every modern "woke" box that it often feels more interested in delivering messages than being genuinely funny. Sure the show has shifted some of the show's plot to the main characters relationships and 50% of the scenes take place outside of school but it's still a fun watch.
