A wasted opportunity to seriously confront the idiotic gun culture in the US. Apart from a few asides, there was tacit acceptance of it. (At one point a trauma health worker says that she understands why people "NEED to have guns". Really?) If this is how America confronts its gun culture then we can truly say: God save America.

Great story telling in a subject that needs its story told.

WOW! Wow! The best documentary series I have seen IN...Ever. the victims' recollections of the events are so specific that you can truly see it through their eyes. At least one comment in every episode will give you chills. I also appreciate the positive, Respectful representation of law enforcement as these officers and other authorities saved countless lives. Watch it, you won't be disappointed.

As someone that has several different perspectives of this particular series, I felt it important to share. I do want to point out that even though I do have ties to the production of one episode, I do not receive any form of compensation. From the perspective of someone that enjoys documentaries and docuseries such as this one, I can honestly say that this is by far one of the best ones. Granted, you must be able to handle watching such things; so younger viewers and those that are more sensitive should probably avoid it as it does bring up issues that might not be comfortable for everyone. This series also delivers on what it said it would. Focusing on the important details that make you wonder what can be done to prevent similar future events. It examines the areas of these events that are usually just barely touched upon (if even mentioned at all) within the general media and population. From the perspective of someone that has been involved with making such things, I can say that this is by far the one that has been most "pleasant". Obviously the topic is not a pleasant one to discuss, but the crew and producers of this particular series are very much in tune with being extremely sensitive and respectful. There is not even a hint of exploitation. From the perspective of being personally touched by one of the events that was covered in this series (S1E2: San Bernardino), I can attest to the genuine nature for what this series aims to do. I also feel that they achieve it better than most others that I have worked with or seen. Even going beyond the specific episode I was involved with, this series does an amazing job with their goals without being exploitative and/or insensitive.
