One of the main blessings of Smith and Wilmore's approach is their dedication to breaking down dusty declarations in terms that the average person can understand and tossing in their own emotional reaction. Go to Full Review

Kyra B 09/23/2024 Going into this I didn't think I would enjoy it, usually I'm easily disinterested in historical documentaries. This series though kept my attention from start to finish. The way they go about telling the stories really kept me interested. It was emotionally hard to watch but the topic is one that would make most people emotional. I learned a lot and now understand American history a lot more. See more 05/10/2022 I was looking for a documentary on civil rights movement in the US and found this. For me as Japanese, American history was mainly white American history but now I learned more from another point of view, which I was able to relate myself to more than ever. I love America all the more for this documentary. See more Michelle K 01/26/2022 Absolutely enlightening. See more 06/28/2021 Amend : A Fight For America. If you havnt watched it, I highly recommend it. Crazy how much we were not taught about Black History in school. Or how many events they portrayed on a different light. If it gives me these emotions, I can only imagine how the Black community must feel. This show really does a great job at taking their time with different events to give a complete understanding of them. See more 06/15/2021 This show is a really well-done look at how the 14th amendment has been key to expanding civil rights in the U.S. to more and more groups. See more 05/23/2021 This program is intended to educate those who have always had doubts about what they've been taught to believe as Truth but actually was a one-sided agenda. It explicitly draws a correlation to what is being deemed as CRT today and is only a drop of sand in a beach of lies that have been perpetutaed in teaching US HISTORY not HIS-STORY.
