Ángela is an overly dramatic thriller that tries to build tension where there is none. But it’s got a straightforward story and good acting, so we hope it builds to a pulse-pounding conclusion. Go to Full Review

As a thriller series that included a storyline featuring abuse, it does get very uncomfortable and scary at times. Go to Full Review

(ENGLISH) Series that tackle gender-based violence need a careful balance: to entertain without trivializing. Angela manages to walk that line most of the time. It begins with a strong premise, an unsettling atmosphere, and a lead actress who carries the weight of the story. Verónica Sánchez delivers an intense and believable performance, conveying both the fragility of someone trapped in a toxic relationship and the determination of a woman who seeks to break free. The show looks sharp: the cinematography adds atmosphere, the northern Spain locations provide authenticity, and the psychological thriller tone keeps viewers engaged. With just six episodes, it avoids unnecessary filler, though at times some twists are predictable and certain character choices feel forced. Despite its flaws, the result is a solid and entertaining drama that hooks you thanks to its atmosphere and strong cast. It may not reinvent the genre, but it offers an engaging portrait of a woman trying to reclaim her life amidst suspense and intimate drama. See more Jan S @RT42289273 Oct 5 Like so many series, imo, it starts out strong and then goes downhill. Who is paying Angela’s bills during this complete upheaval? Her credit card was declined indicating that she had no way to support herself. Who is taking care of the children while the parents are embroiled in this God-awful psychological/physical war? There were other holes in the story that became jarring to me. How much dramatic license is ok? See more Monique P @RT88987980 Oct 4 Ángela is a suspenseful and emotionally gripping Spanish miniseries that captures your attention from the very first episode. Built around mystery, tension, and personal drama, the story unfolds in a way that's both surprising and immersive. Every twist feels earned, keeping the audience guessing without ever losing focus on character development. Worth to watch and make your own opinion, HAVE FUN! See more Read all reviews
