For those who have it one are they don’t understand or have the intelligence to understand brilliant character and set up writing, the son for example she is so selfish and out for himself but you can still see and know he loves his mother. It’s brilliant , yes first episode takes a good 10 mins to warm up but it’s the set up. It’s funny and emotional and gives you a good feeling. Some planks off wood have compared it to Mrs brown boys it’s the exact opposite of that it’s nothing like crass or thick humour. See more Mikls Vida K @RT46484013 Aug 20, 2026 The show is not only highly entertaining, but the very idea it is based on is a real thing people tend not to talk about, caring for old people. The AI/robot element is not the main focus, but the personal experience of an older woman dealing with grief, loneliness, worrying for her son and how this new artificial companion helps her not only with everyday tasks, but also these personal things she is dealing with. They weave the humor with the heartfelt moments very nicely. The actors are all doing a great job, Diane Morgan with the hilarious deadpan comedy with Sue Johnston delivering the emotional moments they are balancing the whole thing out very well. Paul Ready's Michael may seem frustrating, but it makes him human. The show is not to be taken super seriously, but it has enough seriousness for the sentimental moments to land.
