Art Detectives is one of those glorious TV series that works on every level—as an episodic case of the week, as a buddy cop drama, as a simmering overarching mystery and as a compelling character study. Go to Full Review

The fun here is in the episodic aspects, and “Art Detectives” has a good time in the worlds of, for example, wine fraud and Titanic collectibles. Go to Full Review

Corruption and money laundering have long fueled the art world, and it’s fun to see a show put some of that intrigue center stage. Go to Full Review

Palmer is an engaging eccentric in his red duffle coat, like Paddington Bear turned private eye. Go to Full Review

While Art Detectives isn’t really doing anything revolutionary format-wise, Moyer’s charm and the art-centric themes to the crimes Palmer and Malik investigate does make this show stand out. Go to Full Review

Andrei D Aug 21 A little too formulaic and tries to shove in something in the final two episodes that isn't true to the series See more Stephanie T Jun 20 My husband does not like "dark" stories, and neither of us enjoys blood and guts, or the classic tortured protagonist. So Art Detectives is right up our alley. Mick Palmer is soft spoken, polite, smart, and not given to belligerence...he's more subtle than that. His new sidekick, Constable Malik, is also pleasant, smart, and happy to jump in with the significant questions when Palmer is perusing the room. We have watched just two episodes so far, and look forward to more. At this rate, we hope there will be more seasons to come. See more Homer Jun 10 This is so embarassing. The vampire guy is buffoon.
