Critic Reviews for Awkward Season 3

Awkward never mocks its characters. It understands that high school drama can be as serious as it absurd.

Though the Season 3 premiere wasn't great, we assumed that Jenna and the gang would bounce back quickly...and it turns out, we were wrong.

A little darker than we last left it.

Awkward tackles its thorny issues-of-the-week, with such garish and gamy exaggeration you can't help but cringe while laughing and laugh while cringing.

While I know I normally spend most of these reviews discussing plot developments and narrative structures, this is a fun show to sit back and enjoy.

Amid the heightened reality that makes it a comedy, it has an honesty that sets it apart from a show like Glee.

Audience Reviews for Awkward: Season 3

Juno+ Daria = Awkward. Awkward tells the story of a sarcastic outcast who falls for the guy who's out of her league and sticks it to the mean girls with her charming wit, what is new? Awkward features every teen sitcom cliche imaginable, yet it is still funnier and more risque than anything ABC Family could churn out.

Season 3 brings Jenna Hamilton in the average american teenage girl problems and ends in a moral dilema that sends a good message to the viewers of the show, not like many other vanal shows.
