There's oil in them hills of Kentucky, but first ya gotta find it, then ya gotta drill for it. "Backyard Oil" follows the fortunes -- and, at times, misfortunes -- a group of wildcat oil drillers face in south central Kentucky, where there are millions to be made in the oil business if you have the right equipment, the perfect location and a little bit of good luck. The motley crew includes veteran oil man Jimmy Reliford and his sidekick, Mad Dog; Travis Coomer, whose gusher in his front yard earns him about $300,000 a month; and the Pages, a father-son team who can't seem to agree on anything other than the desire to strike it rich.
