See more A. L. T @MaxieP Feb 20 It's a lot of fun to watch and the acting is good but it's not very good writing -- lazy writing, in fact. (Spoiler alert ahead...) First, I didn't believe that Eva would be convinced to (try to) murder her brother-in-law so easily, even though he's so vile. Speaking of, he's a completely one-note character -- just a classic bad guy who's easy to hate, so not very interesting. And why would the sisters answer any of the insurance guy's questions -- he comes on like a detective, and they know he's not. It's also hard to believe that Grace would sign all those papers without asking what they're for or even skimming them. And that's just in the first 2 or 3 episodes! Boo. They nailed how abusers manipulate and how the abused are mentally tortured. Great to see a family rallying to try and stop the abuse!
