"Bedlam" is a suspenseful drama that centers on Kate (Charlotte Salt) who, with her father's help, is deep into a renovation project that's turning a disused asylum into luxury living. Having already moved into one of the flats with her friends Molly (Ashley Madekwe) and Ryan (Will Young), Kate continues work apace but the sudden arrival of her troubled cousin brings about a series of sinister events.

A sort of Melrose Place meets Ghost Whisperer by way of Being Human, this derivative drama is only mildly spooky and not nearly soapy enough to lure any but the most devoted genre fans and Anglophiles to a six-week run on BBC America.
