But when I see a show like this, I hope it becomes a 6 season 20 episodes per season type of show. Much like Abbot Elementary, or many other shows where characters are safe, charming, and the storyline is something everyone can get a kick out of. Is it perfect, no absolutely not, but neither is the Grey’s anatomy, and yet it’s one of the most highly rewatched shows in history. Josh Segarra is absolutely hilarious as the sheriff, he is truly brilliant and funny. Annie Potts is as always a class act. The town has real life charm, warm and welcoming . The Doc is still a fish out of water in the season season, but you can see him understanding Port Wenn more and seeing the more value in the town. Don't listen to the Doc Martin fans who are naysayers. Characters are added, so situations are as well. The addition of Greg and George, owners of the Salty Breeze was brilliant. They add some comedy moments to the show as well as some drama. The characters and the town are quirky and there is an element of caring for each other and looking out for each other. However, it makes you wish you could live there. I am a fan of both Doc Martin, the show it is an adaptation of and Best Medicine. I hope this show continues on.
