What to Know

Critics Consensus

Big Mood offers strong characters, biting cultural commentary, and a genuine portrayal of mental illness, but it can feel too light on laughs to fully satisfy as a comedy.

Carol Midgley The Times (UK) 05/14/2024

There are little golden nuggets throughout Camilla Whitehead’s honest, funny script, with an excellent episode six, in which we see how this illness affects not only mood but perception of time, which looks to others like selfishness. Go to Full Review
Benji Wilson Daily Telegraph (UK) 04/23/2024

Lucy Mangan Guardian 04/04/2024
3/5

James Croot The Post NZ 05/26/2024
The regular laughs are tinged with something more dramatic, as we learn about the peaks and troughs of Maggie’s demeanour – and condition. Go to Full Review

One of the best looks at friendship in your 30s and an incredibly thoughtful, realistic and no-holes-barred look at mental health. Go to Full Review
