El principio es medio lento y la animación deja que desear, pero si le tienen paciencia sabrán que valió la pena.

Great plot, a way for tomato thrower to see the provision for common defense. Also, a good way to show unity threw division, not sure if a riff from South Park, with certain theatrics.

The main character has completely lost touch with reality. He's a c*mpl*te f*ck*ng id*ot! Not sure if they were trying to make him be a cool character but they utterly failed trying. That being said, he does get brighter as the episodes go on by but not by much. Japanese overly enthusiastic attitude with nothing to back it up but shear will. Luckily he gets a magical grimoire and all that pathetic actions he did up to now paid off by sheer luck. It seems like all anime, pathetic loser shut ins always end up with super powers to become the cool heroes because the target audience of Japanese anime are losers who live vicariously through anime characters that reflect themselves before going on to get what they always wanted. Obviously there are a lot of people like this as the anime market only increases with time...how sad. However, it was entertaining to watch him bumble through the first season. Note that season 1 says it's 52 episodes but is actually season 1 and 2 of the Japanese series. I guess they wanted to syndicate it so they did it two seasons at a time and packaged it as season 1. The same goes for other 'seasons'. It's 26 episode seasons in Japan. First season deals with a neighboring country invasion of the clover kingdom while the second deals with a shadowy organization called the eyes of the midnight sun trying to destroy the clover kingdom...people surely do not like this kingdom for some reason or another.

There are too many typical plot lines in this series, but for some reason it really works well. Asta is loud and obnoxious, almost making me turn off the show at the beginning. But I kept watching and I'm glad I did. I haven't read the original manga, but in discussions with friends who did, it's very faithful for the most part. The show is worth a look.

For me this season is very weak and very slow, but as the chapters go by, you can get hooked on the series, it covers the topics that are being watched very well and also the animation is acceptable, that's why I put 3.5 stars
