Kameron C @RyseUpGaming 2 days ago So, here's the thing. This show needed a second season. I know a lot of you didnt watch past the first episode and it shows. Binged watch the entire season with my wife and we LOVED every second of it. The characters were building, the show was getting interesting. This is almost like another twist of the booming show "Tires" but in a nostalgic form. We all know what it is like to go into a blockbuster and rent movies for the weekend. We have been there and done that and that alone hits at the nostalgia. I admit there are some parts that were slow BUT there was a lot of wit, a lot of different concepts happening that would build the show to what it would have been if, well critics and viewers that only watched half an episode stayed for the whole season. It is a shame we lose these needles in the haystack when it comes to shows. Loved it and was hoping to see a second season. See more Leslie T @RT47943726 Aug 6, 2026 ill be honest— i literally coukd not watch the rest of the series let alone the first episode. the beginning was alright but i got super pissed off when timmy kept arguing with eliza, even though she made an actual good critique of his character (that he was immature). what really got me was he didn’t even apologize until the last 5 minutes. this show just feels like a more confusing, unnecessary, and boring version of Superstore which is an actual peak sitcom. my advice— dont watch this if you actually want something good or you’re experiencing comedy gold. something like this is better as background noise then something to be actually given the time of day. also why did the writers choose to make timmy be in his late 30’s??? they also keep reiterating that it was from his parents divorce but at this point its honestly just annoying. jake from b99 also went through that but even he wasn’t almost 40 and still acting as childish as timmy. The concept seems good, until you realise it's not... it's based in 2022, so the store is empty! For some reason there's still a lot of staff working there, none of whom feel like fully realised characters - they lack likability, depth or interest. These elements cause the show to quickly stagnate and (just like the store) its demise seems inevitable, as it doesn't offer anything new in terms of storylines or comedy. No one can be proud of this. I don't understand why streaming companies pour so much money onto things with such a poor foundation.
