Dr. Megan Hunt was a brilliant neurosurgeon at the top of her game until a devastating car accident ended her time in the operating room. But rather than end her medical career, Megan becomes a medical examiner. She develops a reputation for graying the line of where her job ends and the police begin their jobs. Megan realizes she has a lot of work to do to rebuild her relationships with her family members, as they have taken a back seat to her ambition.

Body of Proof is a run-of-the-mill procedural that underuses star Dana Delaney.

She's got a lack of FEELINGS and FRIENDSHIPS and way too much in the way of CAREERISM... But damned if Delany doesn't make all of this at least palatable, if not actively enjoyable. Go to Full Review

It's too bad Body of Proof is so unambitious and, at times, clumsy, as it goes through the motions of solving murder mysteries. Go to Full Review

Body of Proof seems to treat as an afterthought its promising hope for deeper characters and longer story arcs. Go to Full Review

Nothing would make me happier than to see Delany, who's one of my favorite actresses, starring in a smart network drama that gave her the kind of range Laurie gets in House or Falco and Collette get on Showtime. If only Body of Proof were that show. Go to Full Review

DESTINY A @DIAMONDAKAFYA Feb 13 A VERY GOOD TV SERIES See more John R @RT06322187 Apr 6 Like the character that Dana plays. Borrows a lot from House MD but a great watch with an interesting lead and cast. Diagnosis not everyone's cup of tea but I liked it. See more 01/01/2022 Soooooo boring and Dana Delaney's character isn't just "unlikeable", that's putting it nicely. Her character is absolutely unbearable. See more 02/01/2021 Given that this show was created on the heels of House with Hugh Laurie I'm sure they could have done a better job on their research. I find it laughable that a top neurosurgeon brings her purse into an autopsy, not to mention wearing street close, and other basic safety precautions even the average joe knows. I know every show doesn't big budgets or can always have the ability to suspend disbelief, but this could have been so much better. Like another reviewer explained "Quincy with Legs" would have been a better route. The stories can be cringe-worthy at moments, and sappy closing happy endings sometimes take a hard left and I simply have to hope the next episode is better. As a huge fan of medical examiner shows both real and fictional, I give shows the benefits of the doubt. But after watching House[USA] and Silent Witness [UK] both of which are direct opposites of Body of Proof, I have to say one star was the best I could muster. See more steve d @RT35616104 07/25/2020 It fails to differentiate itself from a million other shows . See more 02/28/2019 Dana Delany is the reason I began watching the show, and ultimately why the writing for her character is why I stopped. Her character was unlikable in season 1, and by season 3, I found it impossible to watch. Am M.E. doesn't come into a room unless it is cleared first by the Police, and they definitely aren't allowed in pursuit of an armed suspect! Her character routinely waltzes into crime scenes which have both not been cleared, and worse, won't "Stay in the car" when guns are out, and armed suspects are around the corner. The character's know it all attitude whears Very thin in only a few episodes. This M.E. she just does what she wants to who she wants, with no consequences. In short her character is a smug bitch who I soon found myself cheering against. It's hard to like a series when you really don't like the lead character. Shame, Dana Delany is so talented.
