The scenes are well executed, given how difficult it is to film moving balls. Furthermore, it is moving to see victories for my country, Brazil, against various other nations, each with a unique story. Brazil was so incredible that, despite having won in '58 and '62, the team was savaged for failing to win in '66 and arrived at the '70 tournament under immense pressure, facing a barrage of criticism and doubt—especially directed at Pelé. It’s crazy to think about that now, considering that after 1970, there would be a 24-year drought—though that period did eventually include three consecutive finals and two titles. Yet, reality caught up with us, and a new record has now been set: a title drought reaching 30 years by 2030. Drawing a parallel with that era: where is the public pressure? Where is the outrage? Where is a figure like Saldanha? It’s been only a few days since we were eliminated, and no one even talks about the World Cup anymore; it’s as if it never happened. Lucas Agricola, Rodrigo Santoro, Bruno Mazzeo, Ravel Andrade, and the rest of the cast did a fanastic job in this miniseries. This true story about the 1970 Brazilian national soccer team winning the World Cup was dramatic, inspirational, and heartfelt. It's about conquering your demons, believing in yourselves and your teammates, overcoming the odds, and bringing hope and joy to your country.
