Juliette Lewis was a great Easter Egg from Scorceses’ ‘91 CF. Javier Bardem makes it a good watch. The writing is horrible throughout and the acting is subpar at best across the board with maybe the one exception being Javier Bardems character Max Cady. The show does not portray any of the main family members as competent people and will have you pulling your hair out as things unfold and not a single person (who you won't care about because of the horrible writing these characters are subject to mind you) makes a logical choice. Javier Bardem tries his best to breath life in this show with some honestly great moments but i fear they have just been compiled and plastered over social media just so people will watch this 10 hour headache. By the end of the movie you will be rooting for him to just get it over with and kill the Bowden family as they are all about as emotionally connectable as a toothbrush. Save yourself some time and just squeeze a lemon in your eyes. Aside from the cast which we're excellent. The script and story line was so far removed from the original. Only positive was use of original music score and some nods to the film. Silly family tie storyline that was unbelievable in its structure. I watched the whole series, hoping at least for a decent ending in line with the tension created on the houseboat in a storm.
