"Cardinal" is based on the novels of crime writer Giles Blunt and focuses on detective John Cardinal and his partner, Lise Delorme. The two detectives investigate crime in the city of Algonquin Bay, such ones can include the murder of a young girl. Cardinal works to right past wrongs that could threaten his investigations and his career. The clock is always ticking and Cardinal has to race against the sands of time to save the killers next victims.

Few words were spoken and breaths were held. Cool snowshoes and snowmobiles were conspicuously placed... Kudos to director Nathan Morlando and director of cinematography Steve Cosens for so beautifully framing the fate of our two heroes at the end. See more r 9 @RT00952237 06/18/2020 Another fantastic season of 'Cardinal' - a great way to end an outstanding series! Billy Campbell and Karine Vanasse, just like in S1-3, are utterly brilliant. They both add so much to the roles of John and Lise, nailing everything that is asked of them. The rest of the cast all do very fine jobs too, though it is Campbell and Vanasse who are definitely the pick of the bunch. Yet again the show looks beautiful, the cinematography and editing is top notch. The writing and dialogue is also nicely crafted. I don't have any noteworthy complaints with S4. I don't love the direction they take John and Lise's personal lives, but it still makes for riveting content and it all makes sense - I just would've took a different route personally. Sad to see the show go, but excellent to see it exit on high grounds.
