The balance between sitcom and linear story has evened out and the result is a product that feels more complete. The songs are bigger; so are the characters and the comedy. The first season was solid, but the second takes the formula and makes it smoother. There's still a lot going on, but the episodes themselves are more complete in that they feel less like they need one another to form a whole package. Now that it's found a stronger voice Central Park has elevated itself into the realm of "must watch" streaming. Season 2 was shorter, boring, nothing happened. Overall a snoozefest, with one glorious exception of "Trying Too Hard", which should honestly win an award. I liked 90% of the ssn 1 music, but that's the ONLY song I liked from ssn 2. SUPER disappointing season, don't get why all the critics say it's better than ssn 1 🤷‍♂️. To each their own I guess.
