Tv Season Info

Season 2 of the gritty drama about the Chicago P.D.'s District 21 opens with Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) of the Intelligence Unit potentially on the hook for a murder—especially if Internal Affairs investigators get their way—and Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) coping with a new partner, the brash Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty), who transferred in from another precinct. Among the stories: the hunt for a shotgun-toting serial killer who may have murdered one of Voight's friends; officers Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) going undercover at a prison in an effort to solicit a confession from a suspected child killer; drug dealers holding an officer's wife hostage; Dawson going undercover in order to learn what happened to a missing officer; and a mass shooting at an athletic club. The season also features several crossover episodes with Chicago Fire and one with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Let's face it, the best part of Chicago PD is not the actual crimes, but the drama that surrounds the fabulous characters and this premiere didn't let us down.
