Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will need to be pretty careful in particular about how Rebecca toes her own moral line if this season's going to keep itself together. Go to Full Review

Like a magic trick, the season two theme song turned out to be the key to one of the most, well, nuanced season finales I've ever seen. Go to Full Review

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has pulled off some mighty tricks this season, from delicately off-boarding one main character and bringing on another, to completely fragmenting and then rebuilding its female friendships. Go to Full Review

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend provides seamless, wacky storytelling that happens to bring in feminism, ethnic diversity, LGBTQ representation, and the tackling of mental illness without ever feeling bogged down. Go to Full Review

All of this time, we haven't been watching a musical comedy. This has been a super-villain origin story all along, and next season, we're going to see Rebecca give into her madness. Go to Full Review

Rebecca's gone dark, and it looks like Paula, Valencia, and Heather are right there with her. Go to Full Review

Ryan K @ryan_k1 07/12/2023 Fun musical numbers and creative writing make this sitcom a blast to watch. Rebecca's impulsive behavior continues, and the show continually teases theoretical growth for Rebecca before letting her relapse into old patterns. In contrast, the other characters continue to grow around her in believable ways. The highlight of the show is the silly musical numbers which cleverly parody a variety of musical styles. The only weakness is that a number of the jokes are not funny, but that happens with almost every comedy. Overall, fans of musicals and comedy will enjoy season two of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and I am looking forward to watching season three. See more 02/20/2022 My least favorite of the 4 seasons, but still a great watch. The Romeo and Juliet "meant to be" kind of love obsession isn't my favorite theme to explore, because it's too fluffy and squishy, and many episodes lack the tension of the first season. However, it's nice that they finally brought on the new character of Nathanial to keep the love triangle theme going and spice things up again. Before his entrance, 4 episodes in a row have no characters that are straight, and white, and male, which is one of the many things I love about this show. See more 12/12/2021 The first season of this show was really good, breaking or turning on their side many of the hackneyed romantic comedy tropes. And the musical numbers transitions were pretty good. But season 2 gets bogged down in the same old shit. Is it Greg or Josh? She was madly in love with Josh, but then suddenly by the second episode everything has failed. It's the same problem when you have the same few people just messing and meddling in each other's lives. And all the characters become shallow and trite because its the same thing over and over. I'm done. Ive seen this shit too many times. See more steve d 08/03/2020 The acting is strong but the rest of it is really unpleasant. See more 11/30/2019 Been watching this show for the past couple season but recently decided to go back and watch from S1 and it was worth every second. See more 04/11/2018 this show, in all its complexity, has the bravery to directly address some of the main issues of modern society. although it is direct in introducing topics which range from unreciprocated friendships to crippling mental illness, it does it through clever dialogue, songs and other techniques so that the audience still has to do some digging to uncover the message which is trying to be transmitted. not much more to say. watch it if you haven't.
