Brainy, sardonic Daria Morgendorffer tries to fly under the radar at Lawndale High School, and she's doing a pretty good job of it: Her self-esteem teacher can't even remember her name. Not that low self-esteem is a problem for Daria, who explains that "I have low esteem for everyone else." Frankly, she couldn't care less about the airheads in the "in" crowd, like her sister, Quinn, or cheerleader Brittany. At least best friend Jane Lane is readily available any time Daria needs a break from all the clueless masses around them.

Animated on a minimal budget, Daria makes up for limited resources with a precision of animation rarely seen since early Disney, albeit on a much smaller scale. Go to Full Review

Rather than worship its all-knowing alternateen protagonists, the series humbled them, persuading them to let their guard down, open themselves to new experiences, and question their gut instincts. Go to Full Review

Anyone who ever wanted to opt out of adolescence entirely (writer meekly raises hand ...) could relate. Go to Full Review

St E @RT95059656 02/10/2024 Great show. They balanced sarcastic pointing out absurdity of a world with sincere moments of emotional growth giving a perfect end to a series. Nothing ever felt out of place, everything worked together and proofed it's importance. 8/10 Best season. Daria matured, and putted herself in strangest of situations. Tom plotline was hurtfull, but well done, and we got back our great Jane <3. Even Queen got some sincere moments, as close to redemntion arc as it gets.Really neat end to the series I grew to love, and the only thing that resembled clichee, bad episode other seosns sturglled with, was a fat episode, but rather then being unorginal one joke, it still felt in place, giving Daria's friendship with Jane <3 some good slice of life moments (Jane totally cheats on paying for lost bets) and Queen some growth. Really loved it See more Read all reviews
