Brett A @RT68149528 1d I'm glad Netflix put this story out. It was a clear case of abuse and downright evil. My heart breaks for Mica who sincerely loved God (though she was certainly not perfect). I'm glad they exposed the pastor for what he was. But there were far more guilty parties in this story than just the pastor. The elders of this church knew exactly what he was from the beginning and protected him for years. They protected his pulpit when he cheated on his wife and seduced a very young married woman in Mica. And the female pastor, Pastor Tammy McCollum, who was touted as some kind of hero, may have been the most guilty apart from JP. She restored him to the pulpit, knowing his past and what he had already done to his previous wife. She was trusted because of her "discernment." Really? Her lack of discernment—frankly, her foolishness—helped enable this entire frenzy of abuse, which extended well beyond Mica Miller. Manipulative man, sexual deviant. You could hear it in his sermons. Wonder how happy his now wife is. C @WayneCampbell 2d TL;DR - Two hours and 23 minutes of legal rage bait with no conclusion. Mica's story is heartwrenching and echoes those of abused women throughout the world. This lazy portrait is an affront to Mica's memory. The case is still ongoing, so there's no conviction to close out this poorly conceived limited docuseries. Save yourself the headache and read the 8/21/2026 Time Magazine article by Samantha Bergeson instead. See more S S @RT49980310 3d Another great ad for the cult called christianity and weaponizing the bible (which does a pretty good job all by itself of fucking over women). Those who say it was a one sided documentary should note that the husband did speak (plenty) and he and this 3rd demented wife did refuse to take part in the doc. As they have his texts, voicemails, interviews, letters, sermons etc. I would say the audience did hear his side of the story. The utter dismay he expressed about his own childhood abuse by christians (rather than devil worshipping atheists - LOL), and his letter to his wife, she passed to the lawyer, admitting some of the most depraved and egregious claims against him were enough for me. But the story must be told to honor Mica’s life and all she stood for, as well as in support of her family and friends. Mica, may you now rest in God’s eternal peace.
