Alex B Jan 20 The bad ratings are really bizarre to me because I am a connoisseur of animated adult comedy shows and also have a high bar for something to actually make me laugh. The cast is a veritable who's-who of ridiculously talented comedians, most of whom have had their own successful show(s). Tim Meadows alone is comedy royalty and was one of the longest running SNL cast members ever. The humor is absurd, goofy (Brooklyn Nine-Nine energy), at times hilariously inappropriate but without falling back too hard on gross-out humor. In the first episode, for example, there's a 3 second scene with a tiger: What made me nearly puke from laughing so hard wasn't what actually happened in that scene, but rather the tiger's facial expression and what that communicated. Can the jokes sometimes fall flat and does the show sometimes get a bit corny? Yeah. But overall the show is great and it's a crime that more people aren't watching and reviewing. I actually turn the channel in between South Park and/or Family Guy when watching late night cartoons on Comedy Central. I've tried watching it 3 or 4 times and my wife and I seriously don't get the humor. See more Noah T @bignoknow Jul 10 I actually find the show to be refreshing from an adult cartoon perspective. It manages to toggle between a legitimate Saturday morning, cartoon energy, and a raunchy explicit adult cartoon. Without overindulging either end of the spectrum to a degree, that either makes me as a viewer feel disconnected or overwhelmed by violence, profanity, or sex. I like it a lot. See more Lucifer M 11/16/2024 While some jokes don’t quite land and fall short, the show still ends up being pretty enjoyable; in a “get stoned and shut your mind off” way. If you just don’t take it seriously enough you’ll end up being surprised quite a bit throughout. Silly irreverent and raunchy humor, with some heart sprinkled in.
