"DMV" is a comedy set in the place everyone dreads going most -- the Department of Motor Vehicles -- where employees are making minimum wage dealing with customers who are annoyed before they even walk in the door. Working at the East Hollywood DMV office are: Colette, a driving examiner with a big heart and bad boundaries; Gregg, a misanthropic former English teacher; Vic, a former bouncer who loves putting difficult drivers in their places; Barbara, a newly promoted manager who tries hard but often misses the mark; Noa, a charming surfer who seems destined for much greater things; and Ceci, a scrappy photographer who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Fortunately, this quirky crew has each other to navigate the twists and turns of the DMV together.

While DMV still has some kinks to work out before it passes inspection, it's already a lot more fun than visiting the genuine article.

The focus is on scene-by-scene, shot-by-shot storytelling, and it’s far less stagy, more art-directed, exemplifying the way the sitcom is breaking away from its origins as self-contained short plays for TV... Go to Full Review

DMV has a snappy pace, and Meadows, Dyer, and Kearney all pass with flying colors. The sitcom is becoming an antiquated form, but there’s still a place for it, a place of quick escapism and broad comic strokes. Go to Full Review

The jokes are funny but not hilarious, and the characters are likable but not memorable. Go to Full Review

DMV is a sitcom that largely succeeds at its premise thanks to its strong ensemble of characters. Go to Full Review

The writing will need to sharpen, and the jokes will need to land faster if it hopes to stick around. Still, I’ll be watching every week. Go to Full Review

Kam H. @kamskam Apr 29 It’s pretty funny if you give it a chance See more Dan W @RT63070558 Apr 17 This is a good workplace comedy even though it will end after 1 season and it doesn't use the mockumentary format favored by other shows of its type. See more Rob B @RT11283987 Mar 31 This show should not be canceled...I understand they already did but that's B.S ...I love the type of comedy they do over 10 friends of mine enjoy this show. The comedy in this show and how it is has potential of the comedy central workaholics show!!! See more Jetta B @RT35869027 Mar 12 Late to the game and can’t stop watching and laughing my a** off! Original comedy in an unexpected setting!. please do not cancel! Sadly I didn’t know about this show until a few days ago See more CC Z @cczinan Mar 3 This show is amazing. I don't know why people have rated this low, I hate people so much. Too many good shows getting cancelled because of pretentious folks thinking they're too good to enjoy sitcoms. Annoying people who willingly identify as "A24" fans. Absolutely ridiculous. This show is amazing but is going to get cancelled because of douchebags. See more Rob R @Robr123 Jan 24 I really enjoy this show. Its simple and innocent. Nice to unwind to. Just a fun show with a good cast. Tim Meadows and Tony Cavalero crack me up too.
