For all the emotional and psychological detail like this spilled in “Dynasty: The Murdochs,” it doesn’t make a play for our sympathies or leave us feeling any particular way about these people. Go to Full Review

As per the premise, this engaging potted history is intercut (in a confusingly non-chronological way) with succession shenanigans big and small. Go to Full Review

Garbus's documentary is constructed from the outside, relying on archives and indirect testimonies, which somewhat diminishes its dramatic intensity. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

It makes for engrossing viewing with texts, document and emails never before seen on television... Mainly though, the series presents a dark family dynamic, mangled by power, survival and daddy issues. Go to Full Review

With an engrossing mix of unbelievable family stories and political backroom deals, the narrative is expertly woven to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Go to Full Review

Matt M @WhateverJones Apr 27 I thought it impossible to hate the Murdochs more than I did, but I was wrong. This disgusting patriarch and his miserable family deserve to fry together. Good doc, though. See more Michael D @MichaelX Apr 22 Trudging through this four-episode Netflix docuseries felt like wading through a fetid swamp, not because it’s poorly made, but because its subjects are so awful. I've long believed Rupert Murdoch has had the most malign influence on the greater Anglosphere of any single person in the past 60 years, especially his wretched Fox News, a hive of scum and villainy that's daily poisoning the body politic. I sometimes sit with the thought of what America might look like without it and weep. If you've seen the series "Succession", you've essentially met this family, just with better-looking people and infinitely sharper writing. The series is brisk and thorough, though less successful when nudging you toward empathy for these wretched people. Throughout, I kept returning to one question: at 94 years old, when exactly does humanity get to lance this rancid boil? See more Jen O @Jenon Apr 21 The only thing worse than watching the way members of the family treated each other was listening to McKay Coppins gleefully comment on the dysfunction. See more Garry A @heavyg Apr 5 This is a fascinating documentary about a fairly unlikable family. It plays out like a fast paced thriller. See more Ron K @Ron_k Mar 24 The producer wanted a price for the most "left and right wing" words in a documentary and it ruined the whole show, it fits perfectly in the Netflix ruined it again shows.. See more Andrew H @andrewhlt Mar 23 Meh....Nothing much to see here. I'm niether anit Murdoch nor pro Murdoch but I do lean conservative. I'm not sure how this series is trying to paint the Murdoch family but, in the end, these are just super rich people with super rich people problems. Nothing really interesting here...
