Every year hundreds of eyewitnesses record alleged encounters with Bigfoot, a legendary cryptid described as being a large, hairy, bipedal apelike creature. More than a third of the sightings come from the Pacific Northwest. In Travel Channel's "Expedition Bigfoot," an elite team of researchers plugs the reported sightings into an advanced data algorithm to narrow its search for the elusive creature to an area in central Oregon. The eight-part series tracks the teams as it treks into the deep woods hoping to find evidence of the cryptid. "Travel Channel has assembled the very best team of experts in Bigfoot lore and science to give us proof of the creature's existence once and for all," said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. "The journey is formidable, and the jeopardy is real. Skeptics and believers alike will both agree the trek this team makes is something they have never seen before."

Paul M @ThanosWasRight3 03/25/2025 I enjoy watching this series. I'm not sure how real it is but at least they stay in one location for a long time which if you really were looking for bigfoot (or even wanting to catch ghosts in a haunted location) is how these shows should be. One location a season makes more sense than one episode (a day or a week) in one location. With all that said, Season 6 Episode 6 lost me. Bryce is talking to a guy that has surveillance footage, they watch it and show it to us on screen. There's nothing there and they are gaslighting us that they see a face and all this stuff and there's nothing. Most times when they show stuff like that there's at least something you can be like yeah it's something but who knows. This video has absolutely nothing. They circled a shadow in the back (that doesn't move or look like anything), but then are talking about how what they see is at the house and over 10ft tall, but it looks like it's just the side of the house and trees in the background. So while I can look past and even enjoy the cheesy cinematic stuff and setups they do, flat out lying is a step too far and not even funny like some other stuff they do that they play as serious. See more Angela T @RT51873565 03/19/2025 The scenery is always green and wild, at the least. Mireya and Russell take the search seriously and it is fun to see what they find. The end of this season had some really tantalizing images via heat signatures and live camera shots. The talking in the show is sometimes a bit scripted, and I keep wanting to say "shhhhhh" when they are talking on walkies at the same time they are trying to figure out what noise is around the camp, or when they are tracking on a trail and should be more stealthy. I assume they are possibly just recreating the scenes as I don't think most people would talk when trying to catch up to something that is elusive. There are some things in this season that really raise the eyebrows. If someone isn't out there staging the findings ahead of time, unbeknownst to them, the alternative is something else large is out there that doesn't want to interact with them directly. See more Maurya B @RT41419673 02/06/2025 This program is one of the best research groups with the latest technology in the Bigfoot field. We lived Northwest of Cle Elum approximately 9 miles between Cle Elum and Easton exit 78 where we had numerous encounters with these creatures. If you ever see one it will forever change your attitude towards the forest. They are huge beyond imagination. They are not cute/cuddly creatures. See more Read all reviews
