The season can be a little offputtingly weird in the early going, and there are two all-time bad episodes back-to-back in the middle, but overall this is such a fundamentally solid and sound season of television. Go to Full Review

The beauty of "Farscape" for the uninitiated is in how surprising the show can be; you genuinely never know what the writers are going to throw at you next, and I truly envy anyone who gets to imbibe in the series for the first time via this box set. Go to Full Review

Even though it was dark and deadly serious, "Farscape" never shied away from its science-fiction creatures and weirdness. Go to Full Review

A misguided return to Earth for several episodes in Season 4 is a low point of the entire series... Go to Full Review

These episodes wonderfully pay off long-term stories and deliver ridiculous moments, particularly from Rygel. His love for our food, particularly candy, is especially silly. Go to Full Review

02/19/2021 Not as good as previous seasons .. perhaps they were running out of ideas . See more 07/14/2020 Alas, this is the final season of Farscape (FOR NOW...). The series got better every season - improving on perfection, if that is even possible! The stories got more twisted and the stakes got higher as the series progressed towards the final episode. The chemistry is unmistakable. There is no question how far these characters would go for each other. The final season is full of action, adventure, and funny moments, with an intense overarching story that comes to a climax with the final 4 episodes. The scenes are beautifully shot, the stories are captivating (if not twisted), the music is spot on and perfectly emotive, and the acting is so believable you feel like the characters are real - even the puppets! Season 4 was a wonderful ride through tormented space, culminating with a bomb in a field of flowers (figuratively and realistically, as that was what the end felt like for the fans...). I love the series and I will always be waiting and hoping for more! See more 01/09/2020 I dont even know where to begin with. The relationship for some of the characters is so weird at times.Episodes feel like they are out of order, more so like we are missing some dialoge in the episode to understand the narrative. The human/Earth references and aliens understanding them or just going with it start to be tiresome and childish.Characters act like teenagers leave you wondering for who exactly this show was made for, targeted age. Some of the things are definitely 18+,but then at times its on par for 6 year olds so you are left confused, not to mention its immersion breaking. The dialog is awful the cynistic, sarcastic approach did them no favors and just enforces my asumption that this is kids space opera scfi. Not to mention characters non stop contradict themself with what they say in episodes.Overall throught the season there is next to no character growth. Something from season one that keeps following me is the fact they still have nothing as close to a star or galaxy map in this setting yet the bad guys can pin point them as they wish, and fast travel. In short farscapes confusing message between targeted audiance hurt the show you cant take it serious which kinda is sad cause the cgi, puppet work and costumes design are superbly executed and done. See more 06/11/2018 the show by which I judge all others See more 04/19/2018 Great creature and stories!! See more Read all reviews
