Mark A. @drfoto Dec 2 My son tried to get me to watch this for years. One night to appease him my wife and I clicked an episode and were instantly hooked. The package of cinematography, analytic insight into the sport, interviews with the drivers and team members are so rich and exciting, it’s simply amazing. The drama of F1 turned us into new enthusiasts and we were enthralled for weeks as we worked thru all the seasons. The Apple F1 movie was so much more fun because of what the series had taught us. We can’t wait for the 2025 season to unfold in 2026! My son laughs at our phone calls now to continue learning and share opinions on who’s who and the outcomes of the high octane sport. Wow. Settle into a comfy seat and take off! See more Izzy 2 @Izzy215 Aug 21 With it being season 7, the show has lost a lot of its initial appeal. They need to think of ideas to freshen it up. At least Lewis joining Ferrari is huge. See more Lasse L @RT62932725 Jul 19 Great F1 season - decent DTS season with some highlights. See more Jack L @RT22102532 04/07/2025 Season 7 of Drive to Survive is a welcome return to form after a lackluster previous season, with a more balanced tone and willingness to tackle some of F1’s messier storylines. The Singapore episode stands out as a creative highlight, offering a fun and fresh perspective by following drivers through their week. While the series still bends reality to fit its dramatic formula, this season feels like a step in the right direction. See more T T @RT91295905 03/20/2025 "Drive to Survive" Misses the Mark on Franco Colapinto’s Williams Debut Netflix’s Drive to Survive has built its reputation on capturing the drama, rivalries, and high-stakes moments of Formula 1, bringing new fans into the sport with its behind-the-scenes storytelling. Yet, despite all the access and production value, the series once again dropped the ball by failing to properly cover one of the most significant moments of the season: Franco Colapinto’s arrival at Williams. Colapinto’s step into Formula 1 wasn’t just another rookie getting a shot; it was a pivotal storyline that deserved more than a passing mention—if that. His rise is the kind of narrative that embodies what Drive to Survive is supposed to be about: the fight for a seat, the pressure of proving oneself, and the sheer emotion of breaking into the pinnacle of motorsport. Yet, the show barely acknowledges it, missing an opportunity to highlight not just Colapinto’s talent but also the broader implications for Williams and the driver market as a whole. This omission is a glaring misstep, especially considering the weight the moment carried throughout the season. Drive to Survive has been criticized before for its selective storytelling and manufactured drama, and this is another case where it neglected an organic, compelling narrative in favor of recycled rivalries and rehashed tensions. Fans deserved to see Colapinto’s journey unfold, the challenges he faced, and the impact he made. Instead, the show once again proves that its priorities are not always aligned with the true pulse of the sport. For a series that prides itself on bringing new perspectives to the grid, failing to properly showcase Colapinto’s debut isn’t just a missed opportunity—it’s a disgrace. See more Esteban C @RT03454761 03/19/2025 season seven and i have to say it was one of the most enjoyable yet! it summarized the most important moments from the 2024 season, and it gave somewhat of an insight behind the drama that went on between drivers, team principals and teams! of course there were moments missing that i wished they have dived into, to name the main ones: the french civil war II, verstappen v russell and of course, franco COITOpinto! but overall, helped me refresh my memory ahead of this year’s season and it was a recap of, as will buxton said, one of the most interesting/crazy seasons in formula one history!
