It’s one of those I started watching while none of the other series I like were airing and one of those "better than nothing" options. But is it really better than nothing at this point? Debatable. The story has never had any continuity, they try to mask the lack of direction and plot with this "it’s a crazy series! It goes all over the place! You never know what to expect!" And while all those things are true, it comes across as a story where they pull out the plot twists and dialogue out of a hat. And every season gets worse. Literally. The story gets less cohesive and continues to be more and more diluted and less interesting to where it’s just painful to try to follow it. Ultimately it’s just not enjoyable. It’s a challenge but writing something that’s a challenge isn’t hard, it’s just that most producers realize there’s no value in making those stories. Forgettable at best, waste of time at worst. Then it started going downhill during season 2. I am four episodes into season 3 and I don't care to continue watching. I think it comes down to poor writing and trying to stretch things out to far. We don't have any answers at this point and about 50 loose ends that were never explained. It is like the writers are trying to emulate the worst aspects of Lost. There are way too many characters to keep track of and only a few have any impact on the plot. and each episode will have one character trying to figure something out only to quit after the first hurdle, and another character has an emotional breakdown. And don't forget about Donna saying the F word with every line she delivers. It gets old. See more jeff M @RT68001318 5 days ago If you like horror stories in which the characters have constant emotional breakdowns and meltdowns, and spend most of their time venting about their feelings instead of actually DOING anything to move the plot forward or investigate the supernatural mystery they are trapped in, then this is the show for you.
