With jokes that fall flat and a story that borrows liberally from star Arnold Schwarzenegger's earlier career triumphs, FUBAR is just OK. Read critic reviews

I simply loved it, and I suggest people give it a try.

Started off promising then slipped into a chaotic mess of bad acting, unrealistic action, and loud orchestra music. The only positive aspect of this movie is the great looking lead actress and cinematography.

An incredibly funny and witty action comedy. The characters work and gel together, the chemistry is there with all the major players. I don't know what the critics were doing when they watched, but clearly they weren't paying attention. The show is great fun and deserves a season 2.

Amazing Impeccable Arnold, Action, comedy is perfect to watch with The family

This must be written by unemployed millennials. A True Lies meets Peacemaker mash up with a ridiculous plot. No, more like ludicrous. And, unfortunately, just rarely amusing and mostly insufferable. The supporting cast is lame, stereotypical and just unlikeable, with continuous, forced one liners that would get a normal person fired from their job in the real world. Arnold just took a paycheck.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was my favourite actor as a kid. So much so that my brother & I know the dialogues of T2 by heart. Jingle all the Way was a staple during our AV period at school and Eraser was one of the first movies we watched on a rented VCD at home. And the only autobiography I have read till date is his; and it is aptly titled "Total Recall". So, it is not a surprise that I started watching Fubar the minute it dropped on Netflix. Fubar is the story of Luke Brunner, a CIA agent on the verge of retirement. On his last case, he realises that his daughter has been with the CIA for some years now. But now they need to set their differences aside to avert a global disaster while juggling some important personal issues. I have come to terms with what I can expect from an Arnold starrer. It is not going to be something extraordinary. It is going to be as formulaic as it gets. But I watch his movies for him. His towering screen presence, his energy & his charisma is next to none. And with Fubar, he proves that he has still got it. His co-stars help elevate the show as well. Monica Barbaro plays his daughter, Aparna Brielle & Milan Carter as techies of the team & Gabriel Luna as the big bad. Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle & Fabiana Udenio co-star. Fubar is far from being novel streaming content; it may as well be the most generic one ever made but Arnold's digital debut makes up for it. It made the kid in me smile & I enjoyed every bit of it.

I wanted to like it. It's just corny. Soulless and without charm.

FUBAR starts out fun with an expected overdramatic action to save the world and Arni's redemption arc to become a better father and (ex-)husband. Unfortunately, both fail. This isn't even bad writing per se. I liked the characters' dilemmas and how they overcome them. Especially the salted psychological assessments. Good work here! Spoilers ahead: But let's face it, Luke never became a better father. Instead, his daughter and (ex-)wife were somehow forced to blame him less and understand him more, while he remained the same bad father and (ex-)husband throughout the series. I'm not even making fun of the ridiculous military situations, but Luke literally blowed up a nuclear waste bunker, his team almost died, but it was still all perfect CIA work.
