Critic Reviews for Future Man Season 2

It's absurd, childish, occasionally hilarious, and frequently inventive... I'm not going to make any great claims for the social significance of Future Man. But I will say it's good fun.

Very rarely is a second season better than the first, but Future Man season 2 is pretty close to being just as good as season 1. A must watch!

May 7, 2019 | Rating: 4.5/5 | Full Review…

Yet while Future Man is inherently serialized, it was nice that its freewheeling, often maddening lack of focus in season 1 also gave it the ability to drop the larger narrative and do, say, a Breaking Bad parody.

Feb 6, 2019 | Rating: 3/5 | Full Review…

Future Man's strength as a series has been the writers' willingness to take the sci-fi seriously, and indeed there are times when you almost want the joke to be done so you can find out what happens next in the story.

Feb 6, 2019 | Rating: 4/5 | Full Review…

Thanks to some great acting on behalf of the supporting cast, the show is able to keep up the off-kilter vibe of the show's beginnings, even though the settings might not be as excitingly varied.

Jan 29, 2019 | Rating: 8/10 | Full Review…

Season 2 stands as a great expansion on the original idea.

Jan 14, 2019 | Rating: 8.2/10 | Full Review…

The result is a more ambitious season that swings for the fences with some truly ridiculous scenarios, the vast majority of which take full advantage of the show's not-so-secret weapon: Derek Wilson.

Jan 11, 2019 | Full Review…

It'll make you laugh loud and often. Sometimes, that's all you need.

Jan 11, 2019 | Full Review…

The series is still able to find many unique perspectives to make fun of the future and what lies ahead for humanity. This season tells an even more layered story that has an even bigger payoff at the end.

as good as season 1 was, season 2 was rubbish. i guess the correct formula is not to separate the 3 leads

Rarely do you find a show that checks all the boxes. 80-90 action sequences, check Hero's quest, check Guy who sounds like John Carter or Christian Bale in Batman, check Cacophony of one liners, check and check

LOVED season 1! Waited all year for another season only to find it, OK. It was missing a lot of what made the first season so great. I hope there is a season 3 because I haven't given up on the show.

    Pure fun. love the show

Season 2 was a big turd. Compared to a flawless, hysterical, exciting and original season 1 of Future Man. Season 2 lived down all expectations, disappointing in every way. Laughs like season 1 are non existant in season 2. The season gets stuck in a beyond belief boring timeline that could have been visited in one episode and then progressed on. Seth Rogan one of the producers shows and and destroys what little chemistry the dynamic trio, Tiger, Wolf and Josh. I love Seth but he just doesn't fit in here. I give it 1/2 star for boring storyline, lack of comedy, lack of time travel, and for insulting my intelligence with this POS season. Lets hope season 3 redeems itself to the fans of fantastic season 1.
