It’s gory, but in a silly, B-movie way, although it gets progressively darker (and the make-up effects become increasingly revolting). Go to Full Review

Everything was good up until then, but Episode 4 is the point at which everything comes together. Go to Full Review

Like the aftermath of a zombie rampage, Generation Z leaves you with a lot of potentially tasty bits in no particular order. Go to Full Review

Generation Z has its flaws, but stick with it and you’ll have a bloody good time. Go to Full Review

An A-team cast including Sue Johnston, Robert Lindsay, Anita Dobson and Johnny Vegas. They were having a blast, but the viewer looking for laughs from this satire would have come away hungry. Shaun of the Dead did it first and best. Go to Full Review

This is another textured, unnerving piece of work from Wheatley (Kill List). I loved his subtle, uneasy 2012 black comedy, Sightseers. Generation Z isn’t subtle: it’s full-on Disaster TV wielding an abattoir’s-worth of gore.. Go to Full Review

Jason R @RT70594219 05/19/2025 This has to be the silliest most stupid zombie series I've ever tried to watch, like how does it even get good reviews? This just proves that generation X,Y, Z, and everything In-between lol are zombies themselves. No intelligence, have no clue on what is good entertainment and would watch paint dry and give it 5 ⭐ and say it was the best thing they've seen since the moon landing, absolutely stunning. Can't wait for us to land on it again, andaybe thos time it want be a hoax like people claim it to be. Oh and the earth is flat by the way 😭. And yes I am being sarcastic fyi, just in case you didn't pick up on it in my review. See more Lee E @RT84119874 11/21/2024 Don’t know what happened to Ben Wheatley? Kill list & High Rise should have been steps to greater things..Generation Z isn’t it. Lots of nods to zombie classics particularly Return of the living Dead..but it was overall confusing & all over the place, I felt indifferent to the youth & didn’t really care what happened to them. The final scenes actually made me feel there was something better to come, but I doubt it will get a second season See more Philip B @RT16332021 11/10/2024 The script writing and dialogue is jarring. The plot lurches around with minimal coherence. Most of the characters are annoying which makes investment difficult. Overall, the poor quality highlights just how good and well written other zombie shows are. See more Tim B @RT24923073 11/04/2024 Wheatley is the filmmaking equivalent of the band member who left the band just before they made it big because he didn't want to sell out. His style is uncompromising, his storytelling idiosyncratic and the the rough edges are all still there. And at times it shows. Generation Z can lack flow, takes a while to get going, and some scenes don't really work. But the characters and their relationships (always Wheatley's strongest point) are excellent - as good as any you'll find on TV, and better than most of the shows that will still be remembered long after this one has faded into obscurity. In just 45 minutes we have a set of characters with more depth than Rings of Power managed over two whole season. Anyway, that's Episode 1 done. Looking forward to see how Wheatley manages the longer form. See more I M @RT41341342 11/01/2024 The build up takes far too long, you start to get bored and end up dissatisfied when it finally comes to all the action. You can see they have tried to add comedy into it, but it’s not funny whatsoever. It’s also a massive put off when shows involve animals being brutally killed. Especially house pets.
