While it doesn’t touch on every single battle, it focuses on moments that shaped the war's outcome. Seeing real footage in color makes the history feel more immediate and real. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is that it does not go into great detail about the fights in other, non-European countries, such as Australia, Italy or Africa. See more 11/11/2019 I made it 5 minutes into the first episode where they show a map of 'the treaty of Versailles' which is entirely inaccurate and unacceptable for a historical documentary.
