Elija C @RT92242411 Jul 1 As a survivor of real abuse, the kind that doesn’t get glamorized or monetized, watching Life After Lockup has been traumatic, triggering, disturbing, and frankly, disgusting. Lifetime didn’t just hand Gypsy Rose Blanchard a platform. They handed her a spotlight, a glam team, star treatment, press tours, red carpets, free gifts, and thousands per episode, all for helping to premeditate and carry out the murder of her mother. And all based on an abuse narrative she crafted, which has no credible supporting evidence. This isn’t a story of redemption or recovery. This is a unjust rebrand. While real survivors like myself fight to heal, to be heard, to change the system, Gypsy is handed a TV deal, a PR machine, and a platform she is not worthy of. This show very clearly highlights the priorities and values of Lifetime: murder and matricide are marketable. This show is not advocacy. It does not raise awareness. Instead, it exploits: Real trauma survivors. Public sympathy. Murder as entertainment. Mental illness and disability tropes. And failures in our justice system. It rewrites history a narrative that doesn’t belong to Gypsy or Lifetime. A narrative that belongs to those of us who actually endured long-term abuse who did not and do not choose violence as an escape route. It belongs to the people who break cycles, beat statistics, and now dedicate their lives to the legal system and justice, and to real advocacy. And now? To pull off Season One, Gypsy committed adultery in her first marriage, then got pregnant during her first weekend with her boyfriend, all within a year of being released from prison after serving just eight years for murder. For Season Two, she brought a child into the world, a child she had no business having without meaningful rehabilitation or accountability, and branded herself an advocate for prison reform, charging $10,000 per speaking engagement. Now they’re teasing a new engagement, a possible wedding, and more fake advocacy to set up a third and fourth season. All while painting herself as the victim and demonizing her co-defendant, a disabled man with autism who she manipulated over two years into committing the act. Lifetime should be ashamed. You’ve turned murder, manipulation, and lies into a miniseries and you've stolen the mic from real survivors in the process. Shame on you, Lifetime. See more J G @RT98852688 Jun 17 Gypsy Rose Blanchard is nothing like the media had portrayed her over the years as the initial investigation was based on murder, fraud, deceit, and malingering. Unfortunately, most of that discovery is lost as gypsy never faced consequences for her actions by going to trial for the death of her mother, DeeDee Blanchard. What we have now is not a reformed or accountable monster for all the world to see on display. She learned nothing while serving 8 of her 10 year sentence. Has fooled an entire nation behind false hopes and empty promises with advocacy. We watched In real time as she navigates social media as if it's 2014 again. Giving her internet access when it was utilized to coerce Nicholas godejohn to assist In Deedee's murder for 2 years was the biggest fumble I've ever seen. Let alone her parole officer allowing her "job" to be an "influencer" out of prison was horrific. She has faced no struggles and has no adult experiences to learn. No one wants to watch gypsy fornicate with another man outside of her marriage and have a baby. No one wants to see her doing teenager oriented TikTok trends as a 30 something year old. No one wants to watch her buying sex toys with a known cyber doxer (bri) bc her boy toy isn't satisfying her. These are things lifetime chose to air instead of gypsy learning real life skills. She only got her driver's license because Reddit roasted her and her fixation with the haters is immature and sophomoric. The fact that not even 5 min after Aurora was born, she was a prop and a weapon which she blatantly acknowledged as she played on the emotions of 2 men thinking she's bella from twilight Gypsy Rose Blanchard needs extensive therapy. Not a TV show. Lifetime, the parole board of Louisiana, and Missouri should be ashamed See more Nadatha W @RT49265757 Apr 15 It risks glorifying or sensationalizing the murderer, turning them into a celebrity. This can send the dangerous message that extreme violence leads to fame or attention. Publicizing a murderer in entertainment form can re-open wounds for the victims’ loved ones. It’s deeply disrespectful and can cause ongoing emotional harm. See more Chris C @RT01605075 Apr 15 Don't waste your time!! If you want the real story check out "Morgan Allena- True Crime & mystery" on youtube. Or check out "Becca Scoops" multi part series on YT. They will tell you the actual FACTS with receipts to back it up!!! Not the lies that Lifetime, the Blanchard's, & the media keeps pushing of this false narrative about who Gypsy really is & what really happened!! #JusticeforDeeDee #JusticeforNick #JusticeforPixie See more Heather C @RT19020212 Apr 11 Not only is the show extremely boring but Gypsy is a terrible person & not at all what the media or she herself portrays her out to be. She's never been the victim. She's always been the predator. Do your research into the actual EVIDENCE & facts of this case!! You'll see Gypsy is a manipulative, narcissistic, sociopath who should be in prison for life!!! She was not abused. Check her medical records & the FOIA documents from the court case that never made it to trail!!!! Everything about the medias narrative is false!! It has come out since that she had a microdeletion disorder which explains every one of the medical issues she had growing up. The MBP narrative was only made up as a defense after they couldn't use "battered spouse" defense bc Nick lived in a whole other state & they began reading their messages & learning Gypsy was the manipulative mastermind. Which is why she never mentions being abused to the police in her interrogation video, not once. Go watch her interviews in a row & see how many times her story changes & how many lies she tells, you'll lose count! Plus everything about this show is fake! She comes off sweet & "humble" & like she is the victim of "haters" & misunderstood.. But is on social media COMPLETELY different!!! She & her people love to harass, lie, dox, bully, report, & straight up terrorize anyone who says anything against Gypsy. EVERY SINGLE DAY! Shame on lifetime for even giving this narcassistic sociopath a platform to begin with. Our youth should not look up to someone who groomed a severely autistic man for over 2 years, with the promise of love, to brutally off her mother!!! What has this country come to?! & If you're still on the fence about them as individuals, go watch their separate interrogation videos to see the biggest differences in them as people. See more Kristy T @RT09438609 04/01/2025 Horrible show with even worse editing! The shows content is surrounded by everything us people in the public have already seen, both online & from tiktok. She lies in every situation she is in. And each episode consists of mostly different tiktok creators opinions & their actual tiktok videos! See more Read all reviews
