Hanna is an extraordinary girl who has been raised in the forest, evading the relentless pursuit of an off-the-book CIA agent. This series -- part high-concept thriller, part coming-of-age drama -- follows the girl on her journey as she tries to unearth the truth behind who she is. pk s @RT53520961 08/22/2024 Having thoroughly enjoyed season 1 I've been catching up by binging 2 and 3 - which are still entertaining, but my question is, how come all these trained snipers turn up armed to the teeth, but apparently not wearing bulletproof vests? Creed-Miles was and is the best thing about this series, but by season 3. even her intrepid efforts cannot save a plot founded in mediocre and frankly stupid writing. Example: Hanna and her mentor, Marissa, move around Europe on the run. They always drive shiny, late-model cars. Where do they get these cars? Do they steal them? Sometimes, but often we don't know. Whey don't the police ever stop them for driving a stolen vehicle? They move around the world in planes, trains and automobiles. Where do they get their money? Neither has a job. The story never explains anything about this. Hanna and Marissa, get caught, escape, get caught, escape, get beat up and shot, recover, over and over. None of the bad guys can shoot the broad side of a barn. The implausibility of it all becomes a distraction. But even worse, the interesting premise of season 1 has sunken into such dreariness and hopelessness that the show is just painful to watch. I fast-forwarded the last two episodes just to see how it ended and get it over with because it was all depressing me. It ended pretty much like I thought it would, though even more depressing than I feared.
