Tv Season Info

The third series of House finds Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) in the dog house after antagonizing a police officer who becomes determined to take the cantankerous doctor down through a vicious Twitter campaign. Though Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) is skilled at putting Dr. House in his place when he goes too far, his staff is less than sympathetic and threaten that they will no longer work with him should his abusive behavior continue.

Critic Reviews for House Season 3

All Critics (3) | Top Critics (0)

It was tough to top last season's hallucination finale, after House was shot. Regardless, they did it in epic fashion, with Foreman resigning, House then firing Chase and Cameron resigning in the last minutes.

Even though this very solid third season ends on a note of dissolution and, again, potential formula revamp, the good news is that House remains on firm foundations, and should be able to withstand any coming change.

Thankfully, the UK native has the chops to hold the hour-long show together despite its drawbacks and makes tuning in week after week a bit more worthwhile.

Audience Reviews for House: Season 3

  • Apr 30, 2016
Season 3 of house is greater still, giving us brilliant medical mysteries that keep you on the edge of your seat.
  • Apr 22, 2015
These writers keep proving they're savvy to the fact that their main character's psyche is what makes this show more than just your average medical drama. The cases are just as outlandish, but some less cartoonish stories glow among the rest ('One Day, One Room' and 'Airborne' to name a couple). The main antagonist of the season, police detective Tritter, is too simplistic to be a worthy nemesis, but the plot he sparks is an interesting one. More than previous seasons, this one asks if Dr House can change. The answer - to our approval - is no.

the first half of season three of House establishes an overarching plot involving Tritter and House's abuse of Vicodine. This story adds another aspect to the show that's previously been absent. Other than that and a few staff changes, there's nothing new here aside from some character development.
