The Trial takes full advantage of the natural beauty of Mantua, a city with a lot of history and a few secrets to be discovered that could open up the door to a second season. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The Trial is a good looking, well-acted show. But it starts out so shaky that even if it improves, the hoops that it jumps through to get to the trial in the title puts the rest of the series in doubt. Go to Full Review

09/05/2021 I agree with everyone who finds the story captivating, the scenes beautifully made and the acting above average. But what is it with the dialog? Near as I could tell, the dialog is dubbed. Yet the actors do seem to be speaking the English words of the audio track. The voice of the defense attorney, Ruggero, sounds especially contrived. Also the voice of Elena's father does not match that of a man as old as the actor portraying him. And the strangely enough, the subtitles do not match the spoken dialog. See more 04/08/2021 Surprisingly draws you in, quite addictive! Nice looking production with beautiful aesthetics from time to time. Its a courtroom drama with tormented main characters, whose personal battles are a little thick sometimes for my taste, but the whole show is addictive for sure! Give it a try, you might find yourself binge-watching it... See more 09/13/2020 An entertaining court drama, with a bold but distinctive look and a good script that keeps the story going. Odd soundtrack choices at time for an Italian series, but they mostly work. See more 05/17/2020 Amazing show, since the first episode you want to know what really happened. Throught all the eight episodes you will be chosing a side between the prosecutor or the attorney. Also, the beautiful italian scenery makes this TV show pleasant to watch. See more 04/24/2020 Well made court room drama. Most of the plot lines were very plausible. Very good performances from the lead actors. The Italian setting was very photogenic. My only quibble is that the sub titles passed on screen very quickly which made reading them a challenge. Worth your time. See more Read all reviews
