On the outskirts of outer space 124 years into the future, Ash Harper, a fearless young cop and galactic pilot, has her sparkling career ripped away from her after being falsely accused of treason and convicted to exile in a distant prison colony. While aboard the transport ship, Ash's fellow female prisoners stage a mutiny and seize control, intent on reaching Arcadia -- a mythical paradise occupied by ARC resistance where criminals can be free. As the only pilot who can get them there, Ash is forced to join them on the run toward a distant galaxy and an uncertain future.

verything that happens in one episode in this show could make an entire series. Yet you don't learn anything about the characters at the heart of the story, so you end up not caring much about their fate. Go to Full Review

There are some fine performances and nifty costume and production design, but not everyone will buy prehensile dreadlocks as a mutant superpower. Go to Full Review

Intergalactic is really best thought of as Prisoner: Cell Block H launched into hyperspace, but thus far without the kind of rich character development we saw in the classic 1980s Aussie drama. Go to Full Review

Messy and charming by turns, Intergalactic has the potential to grow into an original and exciting series – if it can keep its feet on the ground and its head in the sky. Go to Full Review

Lots of shows hijack ideas from other series or movies; Intergalactic may not feel completely unique, but it knows how to get the most out of its thievery. Go to Full Review

The art team are let down by the script department, who give the actors lines that sound better suited to a kids' programme. There is a very good chance that you won't enjoy Intergalactic... Go to Full Review

Neelesh S Jun 17 Episode 1: What started with a fantastic premise is let down by noisy music, lot of manic screaming for no reason, dragged out scenes and an irrational mutiny leader. See more 07/11/2022 Things get weird quickly, and not in any good way. It seems to be a mixed bag of sci-fi themes, utopia, dystopia, space, minority female lead. Along with things that are just weird, why is the lead black and British sounding but her mom is not, why is she going to the bar with her middle aged boss, or why are hardened criminals wearing these cardigan turle neck onesie. See more john s @JohnSmithReviews 03/28/2022 Doesn't take long to realise this is one of these modern shows that is just a bad rip off of lots of other sci-fi/action movies/shows, but stuffed full of entirely weak unlikeable characters, who mostly look like a sixth form outing, trotting around space with mysteriously absent males, bar the occasional fleeting pre-pubescent looking version and token bad guy. Maybe a good watch for young girls but probably nobody else really. See more 12/21/2021 I really wanted to like it, because generally speaking rag tag found family dynamics in a space opera setting are absolutely my jam. But these characters are just awful. They're deeply unsympathetic jerks all around with only maybe 3 exceptions. The "screwup" kid was relatable in his humbling but earnest efforts to do his best and do right by the others. The hair girl became much more likeable when she grew a conscience too. But as soon as she became a good addition to the cast, they fucking ditch her! Her mother was just a monster, just a pure unmitigated garbage person. I found the dashing rogue pilot fellow tolerable... But our protagonist, Ash, is nothing but a dull boring naive fool and her scenes just DRAAAAAAAAAGGED FOREVER! The scientist woman was cool enough too... But oh my god everyone else just SUCKED. FURTHERMORE the cosmology made no sense, the technology was wildly inconsistent.... If I am going to burn THIS much effort and mental energy on suspension of disbelief I might was all go to bed and dream a better story than this. See more 10/03/2021 I loved this show. The effects were pretty good. There were plenty of multi dimensional characters and a very solid plot. A good villain makes for a great story and they delivered. I actually subscribed to a streaming service to watch this show. I only heard about it recently but i hear they didn't renew. I'm keeping the notifications on in case another network picks it up. I'll be sure to subscribe to that one too. The story they're telling is really good See more 06/28/2021 DON'T give up after one episode! Keep watching, it was an excellent 1st season in my opinion. If you're a sci-fi fan this is a must watch, it's not full of cliché nonsense like a lot of Hollywood sci-fi shows are lately. The cast is great, the sets and effects are great and the story keeps you entertained and wanting more. I'm really hoping for a second season! See more Read all reviews
