Andrei D 10/03/2024 Some good acting, some nice twists, but too focused on being fragmentary See more karen m 08/15/2021 Interesting concept, and forgive it its slow burn, initially, but as this series continues, it just gets better and better. I think that it helps to see Eric grow up beyond his really aggravating priviledged teen self, but it's more the concept that kept me absolutely riveted: a Rashomon effect throughout the series. Each episode focusses brilliantly on one person's experience of the homicide, and reality is filtered through that. The prison scenes were the best (most gruelling, but completely without gratuitious flippancy), and David Strathairn unsurprisingly stole every scene yet again. Peter Sarsgaard also depicts a very compelling, ambiguous character, and I was really impressed at how Kyle Gellner carried the whole series (coming from me hating the sight of his Eric in the first episode). The women characters were without exception utterly fantastic, too - well drawn, realistic, none of them near one-dimensional - excellent writing and acting. See more 02/19/2021 Interrogation is underrated. The nonlinear aspect (you can watch all but the first and last episodes in any order) actually works. We watched it in numerical episode order but it was clear that the order did not matter. Of course some episodes were "spoilers" for other episodes, but the director/writers did an excellent job of making the spoiler aspect irrelevant by revealing key aspects to the story and characters in every episode, regardless of the timeline. In a sense, they rendered the concept of a timeline spoiler less relevant to the storytelling. Watch it and you will understand. I think Interrogation will become better appreciated with time. See more 03/31/2020 Loved this show! Binged in two days. I don't think the "pick an episode" is unsettling. We watched in the order provided. It is meant to revisit the case as a cold case detective would and as stated, it is not explored in linear order. The fact that it was not presented linear, gave me more to ponder, in my opinion. True Crime stories are my passion and this show did not disappoint. I did not come away from this show with an absolute opinion of guilt or innocence.
