This high-energy anime gives American history a fun fantasy twist, but some of the stereotypes about people of color are hard to overlook. Go to Full Review

Steel Ball Run kicks off as a reminder of why these adventures have always been particularly bizarre, and it is that commitment carried out with unabashed gusto that allows it to stand apart as one of the medium’s most enduring achievements. Go to Full Review

...'Steel Ball Run' had me worried, especially after the limitations of 'Stone Ocean,' but its excellent visuals have almost completely eased my concerns. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Caleb B @Unoneymus1234 Apr 26 Okay, okay okay, genuinely WHAT!? Okay, before I start on what you people may think is a psychotic rant, I just want to say that I've never consumed an ounce of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure before this. Now, I just want to say the biggest issue I have with this show (as of episode 1) is Pocoloco (YES, HE HIMSELF). First off, I want to start with some positives. The music? Perfection. The animation? ABSOLUTE EYE CANDY. Musical leitmotifs were used excellently and were ABSOLUTE BANGERS. The show is gorgeous to look at as well! Okay, Pocoloco is genuinely SO UNLIKEABLE. He contributes little to NOTHING to the episode and on top of that, adds so many unnecessary moments! Okay, MAYBE he'll contribute to something later on in the series (once again, haven't read the manga), but as of this episode, would the story really change if he wasn't introduced in this episode? Also, some backstories were kind of placed haphazardly, as well as stereotypes that can't be ignored. See more Shin I @RT17460708 Mar 30 Steel Ball Run is by far the most anticipated Jojo Part so far. Now, having arrived in the new universe with Part 7, we don't just see new Stands but also a new set of powers and the most insane story so far. We are not just blessed with one of the best Jojos but also the best Zepelli and one of the best antagonists in fiction, while at the same time also bringing back the most notorious and beloved/hated villain of Jojo. This adaptation also fixes some of Part 7's biggest problems so far, the pacing of the first stage of the race. So far, my biggest problem is not a problem of the anime but its translation, where multiple of Sandman's lines were changed in at least the English dub and sub, so we don't hear him talking about "The White Man" which is just strange to change that ngl. See more Harnav B @RT44675108 Mar 26 Pacing to story to music to backstory to voice acting (English) everything flowed so brilliantly it's just insane how it's all well done. The English dub is what I watched and I was blown away with how immersed it made me feel. Most dubs are nowhere near this good but with the voice acting here, you can tell steel ball run is way different. The animation and story structure is crafted with love, you can tell the passion that went into this. Can’t wait for more!!! See more Andria P @RT74710194 Mar 24 F the fririen fans, this is PEAK and you cant do anything See more Read all reviews
