Jay W @RT52162311 Jan 12 This isn't that complicated. To begin with, you set up a likable protagonist. Kafka is the nicest guy; he goes about doing good and helping his friends. Then, give him a relatable goal. Kefka wants to be a member of the Kaiju force. Although we don't have that in our world, we all have that childhood dream that slips away. And after being over 30 years old, he feels it is too late to make it. Next, establish the challenge. Kafka's age is not to his advantage. It takes him a lot of work to keep up, and his body does not bounce back like it used to. And then set up the hard work he does to make it. The soundtrack is upbeat, and this series has great training montages. Add in some great humor, intrigue and a despicable villain, you got yourself a great series. The action is really good and i like all the characters in the cast. The mystery around the kaiju is really well though out and i'm confident what reveal comes next is going to be well pulled off. Kaiju no.8 is really intersting and I'm interseted what happens with him. Same thing with Mina, i want to see more of her backstory. This anime is another darker, more serious shonen like Attack on titan. This isn't as bloody and the themes are more grounded but it is still really good. It’s kinda feels like Parasyte where Kafka becomes one of the monsters he’s fighting but it’s fun to watch him try to hide his power from his task force while Kaiju No. 9 and 10 infiltrate the entry exam. See more Sean G @RT76041854 Apr 23 Kaiju No. 8 is a must see anime that's full of action comedy shocking moments and very lovable and relatable characters it gave off major Godzilla Ultraman Bleach MHA and much more vibes I can tell the author of the og manga was heavily inspired by tite kubo and the creators of Godzilla and Ultraman and it even gave off attack on Titan vibes (replacing the titans with kaijus) and Kafka Hibino is definitely the most relatable main protagonist I've ever seen and he's very inspirational 10/10 👏🍿 See more Read all reviews
