It all adds up to a promising start with big opportunities for Canadian actors in the months to come. Go to Full Review

While some--or most--elements of the series feel like copy-and-paste, fans of procedurals might like the comforting feeling the series brings. Go to Full Review

Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent is pretty much what you expect from any entry in the L&O franchise, which is a good thing. Go to Full Review

Aud H @RT48192338 Oct 7 I'm a huge fan of the L&O enterprise, and what I love is that the script doesn't change much but the actors bring their own personality. This is where I think Toronto got it wrong - Aden is trying too hard to be Vincent D'Onofrio. He needs to create his own quirky character and not play the character creted by another actor. Also, the writing is bit hit or miss. But it's entertaining if you are looking for something familiar and easy. See more EE M @RT42889081 Oct 4 Dull. I wanted to like this series because I really like Toronto as a city and a backdrop. The lead detectives are ok, their captain not so much. What this show lacks is tension and grittiness. It's all so nice and polite -- as if Dick Wolf and his writers are feeding us the Canadian stereotypes as viewed in the U.S. The murders and their stories also need to be more compelling. See more Marla O @RT87130492 04/02/2024 I like the actors and the content. Beats the other law and order shows with the exception of L and O SVU. Worth a watch. See more Steve W @Whiteysteve 03/15/2024 Initially I was out of by the media critic reviews. Don't be. If you like Law & Order you will love this. Not as convoluted in the legalese, and more about the cases. Also based on Toronto, and cool to see the locations in my former hood. The lead detective was in Rectify and has a certain coolness. Episode 4 includes a crack smoking mayor. So fiction is really the truth! See more Read all reviews
