Cody H @CodyHue 2h The series stars off poorly, the ending badly written. Much of the original book has been changed. Ralph’s character is weird and not how Ralph normally would be. His kindness versus the non-kindness of Jake, would drive the story. Instead Ralph is making fun of Nickie (Piggy) and this feels off. As well Nickie (Piggy) is way too much in the foreground, sometimes feeling more the leader. Episode 2 is great and exciting. Episode 3 average. Episode 4 starts of good, but falls into weirdness and abruptly ends with a bad ending. Lox Pratt, portraying "Jake" is absolutely fantastic and can’t wait seeing him portray Malfoy in HBO’s Harry Potter, he though sadly in episode 4 falls into the background overshadowed by others of the group. As well a great mention is the splendid acting of Simon (actor Ike Talbut). Also some scenes would go on and on and on forever killing any suspense created. Terrible, I found this hard to watch! And the end? One thing I remember about the movie was the colossal end scene... The director and cinematographer should be run out of the business for their incessant reliance on camera tricks and fish-eye lenses instead of simply shooting the action without ornamentation. This glorified music video is almost unwatchable... which is a shame because there are some talented kid actors here. The director should have gotten out of the way and let them do their job.
