Muniz, as the grown-up Malcolm, is terrific. So is Kaczmarek as Lois. And Cranston, as Hal, goes through so many broad comedy pitfalls and pratfalls that he's like a Tex Avery cartoon character.

The series starts a little slow but quickly builds up to laugh-out-loud, culminating in the fourth and final episode being hilarious. Great to see the original cast along with some new people. Any series/show initially takes a bit of time to find its way, get into a rythm and Malcolm in the Middle accomplishes this quickly. Surprising after all these yrs. I really hope there's a 2nd season. It ought to be even more fun!

I remember watching MITM as a kid & it was one of my favorites. As an adult now, I would catch myself watching them & still found it hilarious. Life’s Still Unfair didn’t need to be made. I could’ve watched the original episodes back to back nonstop. I struggled to get through this mess. It tries riding the nostalgia wave but, the vibe wasn’t there. It was cool to see the characters again but, they should’ve made it into more episodes instead of cramming everything into these four episodes. Made it more like the original.

Arruinaron la esencia de la serie. Pasó de ser una comedia familiar a un show liberal, donde nombran el sexo de forma directa, explícita e innecesaria. El lenguaje es excesivamente grosero; en la original siempre se limitaban y se cuidaban de no decir las groserías tal cual para mantener el filtro, pero aquí insultan sin pudor. Metieron inclusión forzada exagerada: antes estos temas eran solo sátira para hacer reír, no para adoctrinar. El cambio de Stevie para hacerlo gay por moda es el peor ejemplo, dándole una pareja grotesca. Además, los efectos especiales se ven ridículos y falsos; momentos como los bailes extraños en traje a Lois o las piruetas en el aire se sienten muy baratos. El ritmo también falla, extendiéndose por capítulos en un solo tema aburrido como la fiesta de los papás, perdiendo la agilidad de antes. Es una burla que destruye la nostalgia. Si siguen con este rumbo tan liberal, no veré más. Deben regresar al humor de antes.

It manages to recapture the magic of the original series whilst adding a fun and refreshing spin to the family dynamics. The cast is fantastic, with Bryan Cranston and Frankie Muniz being particularly impressive! It works well on its own, yet the quality displayed on screen begs for the story to be continued.
