If you're alone, you can wallow in the gorgeousness and shrug at the silliness. Go to Full Review

"Marseille" gets loopier and more ridiculous as it goes - with telenovela incidental music to match Go to Full Review
Tim Goodman The Hollywood Reporter 05/06/2016
The directors employ far more visual tricks than necessary, particularly a dreadful reliance on slow-motion, which comes in a close second to the score as most ruinous to whatever joys you might find in the series. Go to Full Review

In an alternate universe, Marseille would be a parody of political dramas, but we aren't in one and Marseille is simply a disaster. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Witness the absolutely terrible writing, more subplots than there are spinoffs of CSI, and aerial porn visuals shot with the restraint of a petulant child who's been handed a camera for his birthday. Go to Full Review

On the surface, Marseille is stunning. But this edgy Netflix series seems only superficially concerned with the city's beauty, focusing instead on its shockingly ugly underside. Go to Full Review

03/26/2021 I liked none of it - the plot is unbelievable, the acting atrocious and the nudity gratuitous (but thankfully not Depardieu in the buff) See more 08/09/2020 Don't waste your time with this stinker. Wow! talk about a complete let-down. I barely made it through episode 1. Why would Gérard Depardieu's character ask his daughter if her friend was noisy during s.eex.? That is just plain creepy-but gives you a little insight into the whole tone of the series. It is just too ludicrous for words. Depardieu must be quite desperate for money to agree to be any part of this series. The best French series I have ever watch was Spiral. Totally believable and incredible acting. See more 02/27/2018 Certains bons éléments, mais la succession de clichés invite parfois au "fast forward" sur la télécommande. La saison 2 est bien meilleure. See more 11/07/2017 mi-a placut , chiar daca m-am oprit pentru ca intelesesem putin dinamica serialului See more 09/12/2017 Takes me away from where I'm at and into Marseille. What could be better! See more 05/11/2017 Loved the "underground" appeal of the show which pushes boundaries on the edgier side and sidelines with ruthlessness of politics. I am glad it doesn't just focus on just the "tourist" feel of France See more Read all reviews
