Critic Reviews for Marvel's Cloak & Dagger Season 2

All Critics (7) | Top Critics (0)

With this two part premiere, Cloak & Dagger once again cements itself as the best Marvel show on TV.

Apr 25, 2019 | Full Review…

Cloak & Dagger doesn't seem to be too terribly concerned with rushing to get to that point in its heroes' stories, though, and that's probably going to end up being for the best.

It's cool to see this other side of Tyrone, who wants to change his community and predicament any way possible

Get ready, friends. The best superhero show on television is back.

Apr 5, 2019 | Rating: 4.5/5 | Full Review…

Both Tandy and Tyrone channeled their inner sense of justice to take a stand against criminals in the city. They jumped right in for both solo and team-up crime-fighting sessions.

Apr 5, 2019 | Rating: 4.6/5 | Full Review…

It looks like fans will be in for another wild ride for a second season that we can predict will continue to change the game and redefine what comic book adaptations should look like.

Apr 4, 2019 | Full Review…

The light that tender scenes between Tandy and Tyrone bring to the show seems dimmed this season, and the shadows of injustice just don't seem as dark.

Season two is a disappointment. I liked Aubrey Joseph's Tyrone's struggle for justice within his character's outlaw status and after losing all the comfort and security he had last season. For me the weak link was Tandy. It's hard to imagine a young woman who has reason to be so street smart can be that naïve to her privilege and the horrific things that happen outside of that. I wish we'd had more of some of the secondary characters we had in the first season - Evita and Mina Hess, especially.

Outstanding performance from both Aubrey and Olivia. They have got the chemistry to do it's character.

This tv series is great: the acting is very good, the two main characters share a good connection, the drama and superhero elements are well balanced and deserves more. In this second season, there is even more action.

This quickly became one of my favorite shows. The action is solid. The source adaptation feels fresh and fun. The plot intriguing. I am hoping disney picks this up for a third season!

Great soundtrack, great characters. The story is little bit confusing, but I like it. I want to see more of this.

Freeform's comic book TV series is back for Season 2 Tyrone and Tandy played by Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph discovered they have super powers and managed to work together to set the wrongs done to them as kids Tyrone made the man pay who killed his father, Tandy cleared her father's name at Roxxon plus both of them managed to prevent a large catastrophe from consuming New Orleans O'Reiley played by Emma Lahan lost her partner last time as well and went through a massive change after supposedly getting gunned down at the same oil rig now a new series of crimes are plaguing the city and the arrival of a new villain called Mayhem serves as a bigger challenge not only does she have razor sharp claws and super strength but developed a dual personality for Tandy and Tyrone they want to make the city a better place but first they have to be straight with one another to be the exception, not the rule this season tackles more topical issues like recovery, domestic abuse, sex trafficking and drug rings Other than Mayhem Tandy confronts another super powered villain as a result of the rig explosion handling the sinister operations, he can dig into peoples heads and find their weak points In order to make his pain better he's willing to go beyond gathering others despair The finale leads to saving the town's citizens from his deadly influence but also Tandy and Tyrone confronting their own personal issues people don't choose to kill or to struggle or be miserable, everyone has a docile and dominant side but which is stronger?, leaving someone who hurts you isn't hard you just leave, if you want to be remembered as a god you have to start acting like one, there is no perfect version of ourselves, we choose how much our past defines us So what lies ahead for Season 3? New adventures I hope for Cloak and Dagger to be in more places to save those who need it most A second good follow up to season 1 and just as exciting.

Great series. Good characters and character development. At times confusing editing between multiple scenes and timelines. Would have been better with just a little less of those. Only brief/smaller logical issues. Awful audio volume mixing.

Barely watchable. GoT S8 all over again. Skippable, confusing, and boring all at once.
