Unfortunately her personal assessment of Christianity leaves much to be desired and really took away from her overall historical knowledge of the entire work. Gives a comprehensible and enjoyable overview of the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. It's vivid - she tells stories on the site of the events so they seem more real. She uses a pizza romana to show the effects of dividing the Roman Empire which was a helpful visual guide for me. I know better now how Rome didn't exactly disappear but became absorbed into the modern world. Brilliant documentary!!!
