Masters of the Universe: Revolution is a thrilling, action-packed and fun adventure that allows its characters to evolve in ways they never could before but always should have. Go to Full Review

Revolution suggests that maybe Kevin Smith took some of the criticism of Revelation to heart. The follow-up to the 2021 MOTU animated series should prove far less divisive thanks to a tighter story, better action sequences and more emphasis on He-Man. Go to Full Review

I am still a fan of what Kevin Smith has done with this series, and I am ready for more, but I wish this season had satisfied me the way the first series did. Go to Full Review

k m Apr 24 The entirety of Revelation was abysmal. The first three episodes of Revolution were difficult to sit through. But the 4th and 5th were actually "pretty good". Which honestly shocked me. I realized with this season though that the voice acting and directing have held this show back. Briefly hearing Cam Clarke as Stonedar in episode 3 made it abundantly clear that there's a difference between an "actor" and a "voice actor". With the exception of Evil-lyn, almost no one had the chops to make you believe their characters. Although Hamill put in a reliable performance (as the Joker in a skeleton mask). I still long for a revival of the 200x show but I know it's never to be. See more Neil M 02/01/2025 A Misfire That Messed with Perfection He-Man doesn’t need fixing. He doesn’t need a redesign, a "modern reimagining," or a deconstruction. He just needs to be He-Man. Unfortunately, Revelation messed with the core of what made the series beloved, and in doing so, lost the audience that wanted to embrace it. ✔ The animation is gorgeous. ✔ Some ideas had potential. ❌ Sidelined He-Man way too much. ❌ Tone and execution alienated its core audience. ❌ A "modernized" take that never needed to happen. ✔️ Verdict: You don’t mess with perfection—and Revelation should have respected what made He-Man great instead of trying to reinvent it. ⭐️⭐️ See more André A 10/28/2024 I was born in 1982 and "He-Man and The Masters of the Universe" was the first ever tv show i've ever watched. Some years ago i've tried to rewatched it, but was almost unbearable for me: nothing make any sense, the rotoscope animation was horrible and everything sound and looked cheap. Somehow this new show revitalized a lot of what my childhood MEMORIES felt like. Sure it has some "modern elements" (like an emphasis on female characters) that some manchild may find "irritating", but i absolutely loved it: all the characters matter, all the characters have backstories, we get an actual LORE and there's a lot of worldbuilding: a treat for any "Masters of the Universe" fan. Great show, epic soundtrack, superb voice acting and a compelling larger than life story (which was everything the original lacked): they actually managed to turn something that was nothing more than a toy comercial, unto something with depth. One word: EPIC. See more César S 10/28/2024 It's not exacly as old MOTU but it is enough to have fun. See more Carlos R 10/21/2024 The animation is great. But it's not what many He-man and the Masters of the Universe fans expected. He-man is not the main character, that's the disappointing part. Again, it looks good, but not the best. See more Christine H 09/27/2024 I'd give the first part Revelations 5 stars. It was a more grown up blast from the past for this 80's kid. It had heart, fun, and sacrifice. Unfortunately, the Revolution season 1 star. It was basically saying, "We've changed our minds and everything we said last time, we lied." Adam's not important, He-man is. It's not hard to fix the sword, this little troll can do it so the character that died didn't need to. Oh yeah, and kings are bad. The only good part was the set up for a possible sequel with a certain sister. See more Read all reviews
