Brilliant septuagenarian Madeline "Matty" Matlock, who, after achieving success in her younger years, decides to rejoin the workforce at a prestigious law firm where she uses her unassuming demeanor and wily tactics to win cases and expose corruption from within. Matty is assigned to Olympia, a senior attorney and key rainmaker with a thirst for justice, while Olympia's ex-husband, Julian, the son of the head of the firm, is intrigued by Matty and her clever skills. Matty works alongside the firm's younger associates -- the charismatic Billy and the uber ambitious Sarah -- as she endeavors to establish herself in her new high-stakes world.

Season 2 is a snore bore chore. They need to stop with the "You'll have to earn my trust/I want us to be friends again" lines. OMG, they say it about 3-4 times on each show. Talk about beating a dead horse. It's also about time that they wrap up this whole Wellbrexa story and move on to some brand new storylines. Writing has turned all the characters unlikeable to me. Kathy Bates is now like her character in Misery. Olympia is just ridiculous. Jason Ritter's role is now just pitiful trash. Alfie is an unlikeable brat and poor writing for his role and the new role of his "father". Plus the pending departure of Billy and the troll-like stupidity acting of Sara - Season 2 has been horrible. The weekly court cases have been poorly written and developed and have not included interesting characters and cases like Season 1. Needs to be fixed very quickly. See more Read all reviews
